Justine Knolle

En Route

The cars and trucks
Are passing us by.
We’re on the road.
We’re on the high-
Way on our way
To our new home.
We’re on the road.
We’re on the roam.

This poem was written during an 8 hour car journey from Amsterdam to Switzerland. When I went to sleep that night, I could still see the trucks rushing by, the mountains creeping up in the distance.Authors comment
