Sonja Nic Rafferty

happiness

happiness – those are her eyes
when daring she is looking at him
in a thousand ways her glances are sparkling
the deepest fountain he ever explored
would the spring dry up
he had to die of thirst

happiness – that is her mouth
when softly she speaks just to him
in a thousand ways words are arranged side by side
would this ribbon tear
she could not tie it

happiness – those are her hands
when tenderly she just touches him
in a thousand ways caress is magnified
the smoothest velvet that ever covered him
would this rose-coloured glasses break to pieces
nobody could paste the fragments
