Riddle I - Kiss

Riddle I - Kiss

The kiss once flirtatiously given
received by a tormented soul
by rivers of tears thrice riven
though mended by words not whole.

The kiss ever present divine
dividing a life from a death
no future would ever outshine
the grace of a poets last breath.

This riddle just came to me while writing. Obviously, I do not know the solution myself so I am happy for all clues and hints you might be able to provide.Authors comment
