I feel lonely

I feel lonely.
Is it only
because you are so far away?
I want to share my life
with you as your wife.
I want you here with me to stay.

Why do you have to fight
in a war that is not right?
Why doesn't the person
that has this vision
bear the consequences of his decision?

He sits in his office with his wife –
dines and dances – doesn't risk his life
for his lie
that sends our people out to die.

I wish that he would overseas
spend his days, so that he sees
that the life of these brave
men and women must be saved.

When does this situation
end and free our nation
from irresponsibility?
We need the possibility
to have a president
on whom we can depend.

I feel lonely.
It is not only
because you are so far away.
