Michael A. Fischer

Dream of Fireflies

When the night falls in the summertime,
and the hevy heat turns into storm,
the dream of fireflies is born.

Sleep wants to fall on weary eyes,
but yet not the time to rest has come.
My daily work is still to be done.

Shall the romantic night be romantic.
Shall the endless sky be endless.
For all the wonders my eyes are blind.
It is myself I have to find.

I tumble and fall trough the dark.
My way lit by hopes last fading spark.
I see your face in dusty clouds.
Isee your face in faceless crowds.
Without you I'm not half a man.
Without you not live I can.
