It has not been one
hour yet
When the world fell
upon my shoulder again
It's deep, scary,
angry, frightened grief that I met
And now only remains
pain
I saw the great
untouchables fall
In dust and death
they all ended up
There is no one left
to call
Sheltered life has
not been kept up
Time tried to wash
away the tears
To quiet down our
shattered minds
To wipe away all
these blazing fears
And to keep our rainy
eyes just blind
But this has been a
failing try
Time might heal the
wound
But does not hide the
new cry
This pouring,
screaming sound
Only God can help us
now
To keep up hope, but
not hatred
To let our insides
show
The core - our most
sacred
Down and farther down
goes our kind
I don't know where
this self-destruction might end
But I promise my
eyes, my rainy eyes, won't be blind
And my shattered,
blazing spirit, it won't bend
