Anna-Luise Franke

Move on

Growing up,
growing old,
wondering what has been told,
in your arms
last night.

Breathing in,
breathing out,
going on without a doubt,
between charms
and fright.

I am yours,
you're the world,
you're scuh a marvelous girl,
and you take
my breath.

And they laugh,
laugh at me,
'cause your face is all I can see,
and they break,
what's left.

I can wait,
for years and years to come,
you're getting late,
you're getting laid,
and I still can't move on.
