Simone Goertz

Yukon

Yukon

My heart melts down to a sea of water

Silent and ubiquitous

Like a dream of perfect circumstances

Painless and free, a bird with mercy

From that perspective life unfolds its shadow

Over my longing

A fish in a stream upwards

To a skylight place of green peace and hope

Forms of chlorophilic fluorescence

By night falls an icy breath to sacrifice

The red open soul

Behind gleaming wounds and trees and wild wonders

The earth is closer to a gasp of wishes

The sound of a stone falling to pieces

The mood of clouds saying unuttered symphonies
