Jürgen Skupniewski-Fernandez

How much farewell is left?

It slowly becomes quiet around me

the rooms empty

the echo of farewell swallows time

the sun shines blamelessly throughout the day

the pain, it does not want to free itself yet

it paralyses all emotions because it is so unreal,

although not unexpected it came.

Again a soul moves into the kingdom

of memories and fills it with colourful

images of the past.

In dreams everything is within reach, the illusionary impressions.

As realistic as flaming mirages

with every blink of the eye there is wistfulness,

paired with past pleasures.

From afar my friend,

my prayer embraces you

in the sigh of loss.
