Alfred Hermanni

Seven cooks

Seven cooks were cooking stew,

with garlic and fried kangaroo.

Added thirteen lizardeggs,

and also twenty spiderlegs.

Jam from salted canary,

boiled with sage and rosemary.

Rotten fish and roasted snails,

spiked with dirty fingernails.

Spicey rattlesnake, so smart,

all flavoured with a giant fart.

Vodka, beer and frozen pee

mixed with stinging nettle tea.

On smallest flame it had to cook,

seven weeks, just wait and look.

Then they poured all down the drain

and ran for dinner through the rain.
