Justyna Stanisz

Where is the warmth gone?

My breath is cold,
those lies are old,
the summer has passed,
the warmth won't last.
My dawn, my dawn,
where are you gone?
I thought I felt your warming breath,
but it's hidden down in the cold depth.

Dream those hollow dreams
that only hollow dreamers dream.

They already lost their pride.
They just don't know that they aren't right.
This world lost its warmth and light
while fighting the battle of power and might.

Dream those hollow dreams
that only hollow dreamers dream.

Break through those fortresses of ignorance.
We chew the humanity and spit out the last modicum of sense.
But in the end
it's us who hope for deliverence.

Dream those hollow dreams
that only hollow dreamers dream.

The sky toppling down on us, in its purple tint it falls.
Down into the most dismal chasms of our souls.
We destroy ourselves while trying to control
this world, this sun, these dreams, these hopes.

Dream those hollow dreams
that only hollow dreamers dream.

Behind those broken dark windows you can't see
those lonely, lost spirits, the dying you and the dying me.
Dream by dream I sleep away my sanity.
Has life already stopped circulating through our veins?
I suppose we saw us dying for way too many times.

Hold on, Hold on,
but life is gone,
the summer has passed,
the warmth won't last.
My dawn, my dawn,
where are you gone?
I thought I felt your warming breath,
but it's hidden down in the cold depth.
