and release one’s fixations
is the way of he Buddha
To avoid extremes
and to keep the middle way
is the line of the Buddha
To sit upright
and be silent like a quiet, clear lake
is the spirit of the Buddha
To detach from the outer world
and free oneself from wanting and desiring
is the peace of the Buddha
To bring one's light into the world
out of inner freedom
is the work of a Buddha
To be there for the welfare of all beings,
mindful and compassionate,
is the destination of an awakened one
