Wendy C. Barton

Imbue

I can feel him resonnate in my chest
that persistent sensation
will not allow me to focus.

I can think of nothing else
when everything fails
to take your place

the look in your eyes
sets me in a daze
thoughts of you
thought of me
together in the darkness
laying in the twilight
your kisses wrap me in satin

drowning in this fantasy
can't tell dream from reality
warmth exhales from your lips
inducing a sultry response
my body will never be the same
after the impression you have made.
