The black dream

You know he is waiting for you,
in the dark, where you can’t see.

What are you gonna do?
Where are you gonna flee?

Your body will be cut in four,
you can't escape your destiny.

You have seen it often before,
tonight as always again, it will be.

Your blood will be shed, in this pit where you are.
Close your eyes and try to sleep.

Searching for light, you're climbing too far,
It exists in dreamland, indeed.

You can feel his presence already,
you can feel his sword cold as ice.

This quest is over, like so many,
you're awake, from a dream not nice.

A nightmare, they call it,
you name it black dream
.

You're in a deep, dirty pit,
where light never has been.

And this thing, bringing your death,
is also to the world, your last wave.

How does it feel, the last breath,
have one foot in your own cold grave?

Reaching the light is often not easy,
but never give up and resign.

Always open the eyes and see,
search and find your sign.

Payla – Die Goldinsel I von Pierre Heinen
