Still Waters Ring Deep

An angel dipped her toe
and probed the water deep
and while the lake lay still
she raised with beauteous skill
- so stones began to weep -
her voice of music pure.

She sang of love and woe
and how they both endure.

This poem has also been inspired by a picture of the great artist Antje Duvekot. Who knows, someday somebody might felt inspired by these lines to write a song and somebody hearing the song will feel inspired to paint a painting and the person buying the painting will feel inspired to create a sculpture and somewhere, somebody will walk by this sculpture, listening to a song by Antje and think nothing of it.
