Michael Glauer

Afterglow

Feel the pain inside of me, wonder what it might could be

Regret these scenes but nevertheless wonder what it means

Swim against the flood, a flood of mud

It’s the case I try to erase

Does it really need an apology?

Some reasons which you need to see?

But you force me to lie, to make you cry

See things like they really are, don’t suppress them, they catch you up

It’s hard I know, it makes you smart? It makes you hard?

Well there’s one thing I know,

It’s the afterglow.

It’s getting dark, even shadows disappear

Shadows which might covered, seeing them but not disturbing

Now they’re everywhere, caught you, rush ahead

Does it really need an apology?

Some reasons which you need to see?

But you force me to lie, I make you cry

See things like they really are, don’t suppress them, they catch you up

It’s hard I know, it makes you smart? It makes you hard?

Well there’s once I know,

It’s the afterglow.
