Christmas
Shepherds came
drawn by HIS will
and guided by HIS star.
So did - the same
dreams to fulfil-
three kings. From far
they met to greet
Mother and Child.
And what they had
to drink and eat
they gave and smiled.
Of heart they all were glad.
They prayed. They stared
yet did not know
what this should be.
Poor and rich shared
relief of sorrow
also peace and glee.
When back they went,
- each to his sheep
or to his realm to withdraw, -
again they bent
their knees in deep
adoration for the things they saw.
