Justine Knolle

Domestic Desire

I’m watching the man
Sizing up the girl
In the skirt,
Holding the child;
Observing him flirt,
Desiring,
Beguiled:

The curve of her hips,
The shape of her legs.
He licks his lips.
They're driving him wild.
She's out of his league.
Way off by a mile.

He's but a rogue.
That girl there's got style.
So he sighs,
And goes home.
His bathroom's just been
Freshly retiled.
