Barbara I.

Animated Moment

Astonished I am
Regarding what attends us
From the minutes among many
In a lucid, warm room
Outside now
Into sallow coldness.

Animate reverberation
Of notes, gestures and words
Pervades me like the essence of roses;
Resisting the void of the scene.

In the very moment,
Your hand
Donates itself to mine
With sentiment first
Then even more
With hesitating release -

  While
My ear is breathing
The sound of your voice
Striking a cord inside me
Of the intuitiveness of your being  -

I tenderly taste the cornucopia
Of the endless presence.
