Ingrid Baumgart-Fütterer

Reverie

I am longing for her sweet smile
admire her pompous living style
and in one of my bravest dreams
I even kiss her dresses seams.

I’m fond of touching her shadow,
but hate darkness more than a foe,
because I have such a great fear
that her shadow will disappear.

I want to dive into her eyes
at any time, at any price
to bathe myself in happiness,
which will release me from numbness.

I worship her like a goddess
without her all is nothingness,
also, it is a heartlessness,
that I never will her possess.

She is the product of my mind
all her dainty features are lined
only by pure imagination,
it’s a ghostly dedication.
