The End Of Schickelgruber's Tyranny

Silent echoes fade, and war-torn lands now sigh,
Where darkness waned and peace's light drew near,
Allies' triumph filled a hopeful sky,
And tyranny's grip gave way to freedom's cheer.

Seventy-nine years have now quietly passed,
Yet memories linger, stark and bittersweet,
Of battles fought beneath a somber cast,
'Til hate and suffering bowed in harsh defeat.

The world once sighed with great relief, and heavy-hearted,
As Hitler's reign of terror met its end,
But now, new tyrants rise, their paths uncharted,
As Ukraine bleeds 'neath Russia's cruel hand.

Let history's lessons guide our troubled way,
Lest darkness deepen, and hope fades to gray.
