Memories of fiery rock
the rising comet Hale-Bopp
extents its stay in earthly sights
long travels reading "Planet 9''
The sphere shaped arch of what would be
a spiral arm of mystery
With starlit eyes -- I could not hide
the alien shape of you inside
While learning journals row by row,
the flaw, I spotted long ago
your ghostly charms retained my smiles
whose off-track hooks would wind my life
So long, lovers, wrap up times
You made me cross all mighty lines
All three of them do not combine
But hazel eyes and sparkling wine
The candle light burns fast tonight
Will you confess, I've crossed your mind?
I picture you from Planet 9
Oh dearest, bring me home through time!
Bob Dylan's "Visions of Johanna" is high on my list of favorite songs. To me it describes our longing for an "ideal" (Johanna), which could represent a long-lost teenage love, a fictional lover, or a passion as "true love." This ideal might be shaped by childhood experiences, less of a person but more of a feeling we hold dear. That's my interpretation!
