The Beacon Within! - A Sonnet

When life's dark storms assault your weary heart,

And arrows sharp of spiteful tongues do sting,

When foes conspire to tear your dreams apart,

And shadows fall from every spiteful thing,

Hold fast your ground with courage fierce and true,

Let steadfast hope ignite your inner flame,

For though the world may seem a foe to you,

Your spirit’s light will put its woes to shame.

Though colleagues' baseness seek to drag you down,

And backstabs pierce the trust you dearly prize,

Rise high above their malice and renown,

With strength derived from depths they can’t surmise.

Injustice, scorn, and treachery be damned,

Persevere, undaunted, and unshamed.
