Aurelia Bogner

The birds

When the birds rise from the ground

And the wind awakens the night,

Then your desperate feelings run around,

And you don't see the sun's light,

Because you see the birds fly away

And a will awakens in you,

But you stand here night and day,

Because it's not our place to be.

But you see those black wings,

Always swaying in the air

And you want to bring them to you,

But you should beware,

Because when you get them all,

First you stand before you fall.

We studied sonnets in English class, so I tried to write one myself.
