True Love Undefined

If you love for their beauty, it's but lust,
A fleeting flame that soon will turn to dust.
Admirable diligence you might commend,
Yet admiration's not where true loves tend.

Gratitude blooms when helpful deeds are done,
A kindness shared when two hearts beat as one.
But these affections, though sincere they be,
Are not the boundless love that sets us free.

True love arises when no cause you find,
A mystery that baffles heart and mind.
It knows no reason, needs no rhyme or cause,
In this pure state, true love will never pause.

For when you love and cannot tell you why,
That's when true love has found its wings to fly.
