The Darkening Path!
Thoughts and feelings on last week's GOP party convention.
Where cheers of zeal eclipsed the voice of reason,
A candidate proclaimed a nation's doom,
And cloaked the land in madness without season.
No longer did the party’s goals stand clear,
But hollow praise for one, now reigned supreme.
The faithful thronged, entranced, in blinded cheer,
As truth gave way to one man's twisted dream.
What once was noble discourse, now laid waste,
By sycophants who spurned the path of right.
They glorified a tyrant in their haste,
Forsaking principles that were their guide.
O, let not blind devotion seal our fate,
For freedom's cost is high when ruled by hate.
