Life After Release

- Fiction -

-1-
A thousand miles away from home
he’s obsessed by the wish to roam
whilst sitting tired in an airplane,
fleeing from coldness, snow and rain.

-2-
Leaving behind sorrow and plague,
bad times, "crammed" with lies, thefts and fake
he’s looking forward to a life
without fights with fists or with knife.

-3-
Imprisoned for more than twenty years
he became victim of thousand fears,
which haunted him badly in nightmares
trying to push him down the fate's stairs.

-4-
The Prison was his punishment,
which cruelty forced him to bend,
to repent over his worst crime
- he drowned a boy in liquid lime -

-5-
Quite a new life he wants to start
and his beings' principle part
will be deeds of humanity,
done without claims for any fee.
