It's Halloween: The Ghastly Goblin Gala

When the sky’s ink-black and the moon’s gone mad,
It’s a Halloween night like you’ve never had!
Down cobblestone streets, shrieks fill the air,
As witches stomp by with green tangled hair.

A zombie brigade starts to drag their dead feet,
Groaning, “Brains!” as they lurch towards every street.
Kids shriek, “Trick or treat!” with devilish glee,
While vampires hiss, "Save a drop for me!"

Old Mummy Marge loses her wrappings again,
As werewolves howl loud in a screechy refrain.
A ghoul in plaid pants yells, “Hey, what’s the rush?”
While slapping green goo on a cobwebby brush.

The candy flows freely from house after house,
Yet one porch hides…a rabid-eyed mouse!
It screeches and twitches with gnawing delight,
Chewing each candy bar left out that night.

A skeleton jiggles his bones with a giggle,
Daring the ghost girl to fly with a wiggle.
Jack-o'-lantern grins, carved wide and wild,
Its orange insides churning, quite defiled.

Near midnight, they gather in a ghastly parade,
Led by Count Fangface, with a rhinestone blade.
A cauldron stews bugs, bat wings, and goo—
(But a giant grey goblin just sneezed in it too!)

Spiders swing down in a glittering wave,
Decorating the heads of each hauntingly brave.
Then a loud crack resounds—a witch just tripped!
And her broomstick’s now mangled, cracked, and stripped.

They laugh, they howl, & they munch till dawn,
Then stagger back to the lawns they spawn.
With crumbs in their teeth, they slump and they creep,
Waiting for next year, when they’ll rise from the deep!
