Wavelength Apart

Like ships in the night we set our sails
And drifted silently from our shores
But deep inside our lost hearts a beacon of light
Reaches out like the fountain of youth restored …
For who should know what lies ahead
Or what the stormy tidal seas of life beholds
Caught beneath an ocean of mystery
Its unfathomable reason within its mercy controls
We find ourselves sailing along on a parallel line
Of tender confusion, dreaming of a missed chance
The unfairness cold and dark
The solitaire symphony of misplaced intrusion …
But to our reciprocal identity
We must assign a mutual course
Together we shall point the compass
To converge our paths
Lest the tide may change
Or the hourglass of regrets flows away fast
Nature’s role is our intrinsic rule
And presents us with our past
But like calm seas that have unburdened their struggle
Our progeny reflects the inner recess of our hearts …
So with sturdy arms I will raise the anchor
And search for our true shore
Until our sails are in sight
I will make my plight
To be with you again once more
