The Fate of Two Cats

-1-

A Pitiful Creature

A dangerously sick and wounded cat,
it, s fur similar to an rotten rag
was badly infested with hordes of mites
for so many crucial days and nights.

The cats blood was drained by lice, flees and bugs,
till they were growing as hard as walnuts,
beside more obese than vermin could be,
because of insatiability.

-2-

Repentant of Killing

-1-

The pitch black tomcat was clawing his way
in direction of a mouse, that went astray ,
fiercely was racing his alerted mind
at the sight of the mouse, that seemed to be kind.

-2-

It was his fate, to be cruel to it,
therefore the mouse had to suffer hit by hit,
when soon the victim looked more like a shred,
he opened his mouth, swallowed greedy its head.

-3-

The tomcat sat in front of the carcass,
stricken with shame and guilt at the carnage, s mess
and feeling much pity for that kind mouse,
he felt himself now like a disgusting louse.

-4-

He could not obey the voice of his fate,
compassion for the poor mouse he felt too late
by natures order he was obliged to kill,
even when such crime was against his will.
