CONSCIENCE AND VIRTUE

… deserted man, what do you come for?
I seek suffering;
… suffering? Ah, misfortune of the world, do you bring evil with you?
I bring water and fire, and I want to live…
Live, you say…!
Live, yes; for isn't this Hamlet's house? Isn't he here…?
… Ah, Hamlet, Hamlet! He's been gone for a long time;
But you, what do you intend here, to be or not to be…?
I have already been and I want to continue being,
I bring the offering;
Then I will open the doors for you, but remember that you must burn;
And if in the end you thirst, come up, make yourself light and do not waste the water;
Now come in, then, that is the condition.
