Philo Poesie

Non c'č via di scampo

.

Nella foresta delle tenebre

non riuscivo a vederli

ma mi stavano già aspettando

Cani incatenati mi inseguivano

attraverso la notte buia

su sentieri, burroni e bivi

sogni mistici mi indicarono la strada

ancora prima dell’alba

.

.

.

In the Forest of Darkness

I could not see them

but they were already waiting for me

Chained dogs chased me

through the dark night

across paths, ravines and forks in the road

Mystical dreams showed me the way

even before sunrise

hidden behind the misty swamp

I reached the castle of Hecate

and over the secret stones in the moor

I managed to escape by torchlight

I knocked with the brass serpent’s head

on the heavy oak gate

and as I stepped over the threshold, I saw

what was carved in stone on the archway

Wherever you flee, death lies before you”

.

.

.

Im Wald der Finsternis

konnte ich sie nicht sehen

aber sie warteten schon auf mich

Kettenhunde hetzten mich
