Olivia Chevron

Deceiving Diane

“Where are you?”
was the first thing she always asked,
as he was sipping whiskey
from his Starbucks flask,
driving home from his lover,
his work providing the perfect cover.
He’d never really loved his wife.
He’d got married for his mother’s sake.
He’d never really liked this life;
a living fraud, a foolish fake.
When he got home
he kissed Diane,
and played the perfect husband;
a cheating man.
