A Lonely Night

Loneliness all around. I sit and stare out the shattered window in the attic and shed some more tears as time goes on. The winds howling outside and I can hear the coyotes wailing deep in the woods.

Im not afraid. Im not angry. Just lonely and in complete despair. I hear the door creaking below me, but I dont care. Childrens laughter down the street I hear and lift up my head to hear if my names called. So alone. The fires almost out in the fireplace and a chills building in the house. The night feels so long and never ending. I close my eyes and wait to dream again.
