Sad eyes

When we first met
I left with the impression
that I could be the one
to make you happy.
I wasn’t prepared
for the look on your face
the second time I saw you.
The moment I fell in love
with your handsome hazel eyes
I realized I will never be able
to make them smile
the way they deserve it.
Now my eyes are sad, too.
