A breeze shakes off
water from acacias -

the heart of a palm tree..
ripening dates

walking away
from her childhood..
young girl in high heels

silent sea -
one-legged flamingos
tell of noon

In camel tracks jasmine petals..
singing garland vendor

smiling at a friend
on the table old photos..
yellow zinnia
