Will God

I sit here in the shadows
I rest uneasily with sorrow in my soul
I thought that I could forget about losing you
But now I am deeply missing you
Mother, will God let you come down from heaven?

I still cry for you
I still grieve over the truth
Life seems to be draining me of my strenth
I need you now more than ever
Mother, will God let you come down from heaen?

Wounds that time cannot mend
Pain that will always be remembered
Sorrow that will never end
Only a mother can heal such hurt
Mother, will God let you come down from heaven?

Will God let you come down to me?
