My cage and castle

Well, so this was love
Or something above?
I thought of
Us as phoenix 'n' turtle-dove.

I guess, we've lost track
And I hate this part.
I'll go back
To the ruins of my heart.

I'm captured inside an old cage.
That one that you shook in your rage.
Don't bother - it had already scratches and scars
From hopes and disasters, from mistrust and our wars.

My cage's a castle
N' secret emotions
There wrestle
With each other and their fence.

I'm captured inside an old cage.
That one that you shook in your rage.
Don't bother - it had already scratches and scars
From hopes and disasters, from mistrust and our wars.

Who makes my heart ring
And then goes away
Leaves something,
Adds a new wall that will stay.

I'm captured inside my old cage,
But what's once inside just won't age.
Even if it's lost forever I got it here
But I can get no freedom without someone dear.

Someone dear
To break my walls.
Break my walls.
Break my walls!
Break my walls!!
Break my walls!!!
