Motsamai Maqadika

You were pretending

I know that you are going
Bells of new love are ringing
Before we part, I beg you
Before you break my heart, I beg you
Allow me a moment in your life
Together, to remember our romantic life
Oh my darling, darling, darling
Many months ago
And many times
Like a Sunday morning
I was your darling
Now for years to come
I will be mourning
I used to picture your gaggling eyes and charming face
But never could I realise all those traces of lies in your eyes
Oh my darling, darling, darling
That night when you touched me
Heaven of rhapsodize descended
That night when I touched you
“Baby you make me crazy” was your reaction
That night when we kissed
“Bubu please hold me tight” was the request
Yes, you and I could create heaven the paradise of laughter
Oh my darling, darling, darling
I didn’t know
You were pretending!
