Inge Offermann

Geneva

Handshaking
in the moment
of farewell.
The doors
closed
behind you
when I left.
Outside
rainy pines
tossed by
the storm.
Happiness
was torn,
tears were
in my eyes.
Sad mood
like the clouds
of the gry sky
above the lake.
The train took
me away forever.

Genf

Händedruck
im Moment
des Abschieds.
Die Türen
schlossen
sich hinter dir,
als ich ging.
Draußen
sturmgepeitschte
Regenkiefern.
Zerrissenes
Glück und Tränen
in meinen Augen.
Traurige Stimmung
wie die Wolken
am grauen Himmel
überm See.
Der Zug brachte
mich für immer fort.
