Inge Hoppe-Grabinger

that life is such a maze ...

You lived in another part of the town
I didn't know your ways
I didn't  know your favourite walk
in the park which was a maze.

We met quite often and yet I knew
we didn't really agree
whose fault it was that mistrust grew
it's difficult to see.

And now that you have left me here
and have gone far away
I dare to enter your atmosphere
but why, it's hard to say.

I walk through all those streets alone
and see them now anew
for me it's a forbidden zone
which so belonged to you.

The more I walk the more I see
our troubles in a haze
the riddle that still tortures me
that life is such a maze...
