My mind is an erratic hippogriff.
Likewise,
it is a golden-feathered eagle
that among sidereal labyrinths
whirling soars.
It is a remote steed
suggestively charming
that among the steppes out-burnt
untamed runs.
Among
sidereal labyrinths
among
steppes out-burnt
my mind searches,
for its soul
for its vital essence
the reflecting mirror
of the Uncreated Substance.
The on-the-loose hippogriff
hovers
among the refraction of fainting planets
gallops
among Fata Morganas (*) of scorching dunes.
Among fainting planets
I must push myself.
Among scorching dunes
I must stop.
In the haze of twilight
in the flames of Gehenna
my authentic I,
albeit poignant
I want to see it.
(*) In optics, Fata Morgana is a complex
and unusual form of mirage.
