Maik Hollenberg

Night of sorrow

Daylight fell, I feared the night
cause love awoke with dying light
my heart screamed out your sonorous name
this was the night the heartache came

From this day on I have no clue
why all I think about is you
and all I need is you, right here
it's loosing you, I mostly fear

In dark despair I wait and bleed
loneliness sows out its seed
the only thing that cleared this maze
was remembering your smiling face

Loving you is hurting me
but I have to pay this fee
for being happy or for dying
it is the truth, I am not lying

And so I'm going out tonight
praying for the raise of light
when my tears like falling rain
wash away this killing pain
