Meike Schrut

Where went his trip

Almost empty coach on the endless street after the south
Wheels glide by rain and wind.
It seems in such a way as if it was the journey for everybody
without return.
Over and over again the rhythm, a film melody
"Hey, hey, ho, hey, hey, ho...."
He looks in a mirror
"Looks good, man..."
If is his soliloquy.
Everybody knows in the coach who is he, smile in the sleep.
Only the film melody goes on sounding later in him
continually.
To a finally voice sings in addition... A woman?!
To dream reason for him,
somewhere at that hotel on the edge of the town.
He longs for HER, anticipates only vaguely who is they. And still in the sleep he means her voice to hear, the melody of the soundtrack never more...
